Our areas of expertise:
1. A solution to the problem of floods in environmental engineering
2. Planning an ecological landscape and creating ecological lakes from flood waters
3. Filtration and purification of flood water for reuse for irrigation
4. Stream restoration and biological water purification to create ecological lakes teeming with life
Mezkeret Batya Urban Nature Park
Project type: Extensive combined Intensive
Area: 300 dunams
An ecological park spanning an area of 300 dunams that includes the restoration of the two streams; Nahal Ekron and Nahal Hasholsha combined with irrigation water plants and the introduction of barrows to curb tides to prevent floods.
Creating a high-quality moist habitat and an ecological park bustling with life. Initiation, fundraising planning, close supervision management, maintenance. The park and the restored stream helped to promote the marketing of the new neighborhoods and in the process of restoring the stream, the entire community participated in a multi-year educational program
Construction of the Ekron River channel according to geomorphological principles
The new stream channel flowing between the settlement's houses creates a vibrant urban nature
Building waterfalls as part of transforming the stream into a biological filter to purify the water flowing through it
Construction of a hybrid lake that combines tidal control during floods with a scenic ecological lake during the rest of the year
The hybrid lake restrains the tides during floods
Another hybrid lake at the confluence of the Ekron and Hlosha streams during floods
School students, parents, and community residents are planting geophyte trees and wildflowers with us to kickstart the ecological process as part of a multi-year educational program to integrate the community into the stream restoration project.
